Jonas is an engineer and founder of Equiano Institute , working on AI governance and technology policy in Africa. He is also building Signified, Caveat, and Overture . He studied Mathematics at Istanbul University and Computer Science at Sussex University. He is researching human style theorem provers at Cambridge University under Sir Timothy Gowers and AI alignment, ethics, and economics . Recently started Explore (AI policy research), Remark (collaborative software), and working with Fairwork on AI labor governance. Previously at Entrepreneur First .
